ake a Bow, Prairie’s Edge – Hunter 2021
TAKE A BOW, PRAIRIE’S EDGE is a rather immodest choice for a name, but this cultivar embodies the three main qualities that I am looking for in my plants: northern instant rebloom, good branching, and a pretty face.
TAKE A BOW has burnt orange stippling over a golden yellow base. A darker appearing band consists of more concentrated stippling which matches the double edge. The intensity of the colors varies with the temperature, as indicated in the photos of other views, below, which were all taken in the morning. Lightly ruffled sepals show a slight echo of the band and golden throat. Northern instant rebloom is inherited from LIGHT THE LIGHTS, one of my 2019 introductions. Pod and pollen fertile.
