Prairie’s Edge Connor Samuel – Hunter 2023
This lovely buttermilk polychrome with a small green throat matures through the day to near white. 3½” blooms have gently ruffled petals & sepals. The sturdy 30” tall scapes display 4-5 way branching. White daylilies often have somewhat unattractive foliage, but Connor’s is a beautiful blue-green.
A vigorous dormant diploid, Connor starts blooming early and then treats the gardener to northern instant rebloom. Fertility is untested but pollen looks good. This is another outstanding cultivar resulting from seeds given to me by fellow hybridizer Mike Huben.
2023 UPDATE: Connor showed himself to be easily fertile both ways.
