It’s worth the wait until the mid-late season for this full form watermelon pink bloom with darker veining. Petals have a narrow gold filigree edge and a faint grey-lavender band above the green to yellow throat. The bloom has good substance, showing little concern for rain or heat. Tall, sturdy, well branched scapes are produced on a vigorous clump.
In September, here in northern Illinois, most daylilies are done, but JUST YOU WAIT is busy getting started with its rebloom. It has produced instant rebloom every year, in spite of weather conditions, since it’s first showing as a one year old seedling. JUST YOU WAIT is fertile both ways, and a good candidate for hybridizing to get late season bloom, not to mention instant rebloom.
